Past Simple
We use the past simple tense as the basic form of past tense in English. The past simple is used to express completed action and duration is not important. It forms the affirmative sentences with regular and irregular verbs from second column - V2.

It is very easy to remember the tenses with key words, for the past simple given below.
Key words: yesterday, last week, last month, this morning (when meaning is past), etc.
