Consent to the processing of personal data

1. Data covered

• email address;
• first name, last name, native language, photo — if I provide them in my profile;
• the words and phrases I select in the subtitles of listening tracks and their place in the track, the notes I write for them, the dates I save them and the “learned” marks, linked to my account;
• technical data: the session identifier in a cookie, browser details (user agent), IP address as a hash, the version and time of this consent;
• Google reCAPTCHA bot check data: IP address, cookies, browser details and actions on the login page.

2. Purposes

• creating an account and logging in to the Site with a one-time code;
• sending the login code to my email address;
• maintaining my profile;
• maintaining my personal vocabulary for listening practice;
• protecting the Site from spam and automated requests.

3. Processing operations

Collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, changing), retrieval, use, transfer (provision, access), blocking, deletion and destruction, using automated means.

4. Transfer to third parties, including cross-border transfer

• Resend Inc. (USA) — email address and the text of the email, to deliver the login code;
• Google LLC (USA) — Google reCAPTCHA check data.

5. Validity and withdrawal

This consent is valid until withdrawn. I can withdraw it by writing to alexvkokin@gmail.com. The data is deleted within 30 days of the withdrawal of consent or of the purposes of processing being achieved. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.

Saved phrases, their notes, saving dates and “learned” marks are kept until I remove the phrase or my account is deleted. A removed phrase and its note stay in the database for 24 hours and are then erased at the next clean-up, which runs at least once a day.
